Using smart technology to deliver Sustainable Mobility

The introduction of mobile phone apps has transformed the way business communicates with its customers and enabled local authorities to engage in a smarter way with their communities. Personal mobility has been enhanced by access to the latest technology.  It forms an essential part of encouraging sustainable travel.

Find out how at our forthcoming CIVINET UKI / MobiWallet event to be held in Birmingham on November, 24.

The day will focus on the use of mobile phone applications that seek to improve access to smarter choices. Speakers will include industry insiders who have developed successful applications.   Practical examples will demonstrate how the technology has improved access to walking, cycling and public transport. There will be an opportunity for CIVINET members to deliver a short presentation to share good practice, and contribute to the implementation and evaluation of the scheme using mobile phone applications.

MobiWallet at 2015 Polis Conference

We are glad to inform you that we will attend the next 2015 Annual Polis Conference which will be held in Brussels from 18 to 20 November. CENTRO will present a talk entitled

Payment systems ‐ Mobility and transport wallet for interoperable fare management: A cross‐national experience

which will be focused on MobiWallet achievements and lesson learned. The preliminary program is available here.

1st MobiWallet Pilot Demonstration

The first MobiWallet Pilot Demonstration will take place in Florence on July, 9 and will continue the day after in Pisa. Please, contact us if you would like to attend the public session!

The first public event will start at 2pm in Palagio di Parte Guelfa.
